The last few days have been emotionally exhausting for me to say the least, and I’ve hit this point in life where I’m feeling so defeated by everything that’s going on for me at the moment. I have this mix of randomness bubbling up in my emotional molecules and it’s actually making me feel physically sick, I’m writing this blog post with a snooty nose, phlegm building up in my throat and a dose of cleanse tea brewing next to me (and the raw vegan cakes in the fridge are about to get demolished) – totally on my A-Game today!
This morning I did a little journaling exercise with myself (as you do), and I decided to write the 20 things that I’d love to do, here are a few examples:
- I want to educate people on health and happiness
- I want to teach people how to detox their bodies, homes and lives
- I want to change lives for the better
- I want to speak to crowds of people
- I want to teach people how to abso-friken-loutely squash their limiting beliefs and live life on their terms
- I want to dance like no ones watching
You see, the truth is that us Health Coaches aren’t always living in this perfect bubble of bliss that you see on Facebook, Instagram and in the media. We are just like normal people. We have issues. We have negative emotions. And we sometimes can’t be fucked dealing with our own shit! We aren’t perfect, and we don’t claim to be.
So, whilst I was sorting through the information mush in my brain, and as I was journaling about getting out of my funk, something profound came out of my mind and onto the paper and I was like SHIZ, THAT WAS FRIKEN GREAT – I gotta write about this! And what came out was…
Wait for it… drumroll please…
It’s time to start CONSCIOUSLY CHOOSING and stop being swept along!
I know right, mind = blown on that one!
This additional statement also came out, although this one always comes out for me lately. Especially in the last few months as I’ve been going through some transformational changes in life; it is –
YOU BECOME WHAT YOU THINK ABOUT MOST OF THE TIME.
Really. Truly. No shit dude!
You create your reality with your thoughts, if you feel shit and defeated by another person then guess what – you feel shit and defeated. And you radiate “I feel shit and defeated”. Have you ever walked into a room, stared at a person on the other side of the room and without even talking to them thought “ohhh I don’t think I’ll talk to him/her, he/she’s got shit going on and it’s just not pleasant to be around?” So you’ll naturally gravitate to the people who are laughing and having a jolly old time, why? Because in that moment you want to laugh and have a jolly old time too – DUH! YOU CONSCIOUSLY CHOSE THAT SITUATION, BECAUSE YOU ACTUALLY WANTED TO BE IN IT!!!
Ahhhh wow, thanks universe for hitting me in the face today, I really needed it! And I know that if my sister is reading this (HI ANDY!) she’s going to tell me to practice what I preach when I’m in my next funk (I LOVE YOU SIS)! 😀
So, with this post it is my ask to all you amazing loyal readers out there to please get a pen and paper (or a notepad file, whatever tickles your fancy) and ask yourself this:
Do you deal with your own shit by CONSCIOUSLY CHOOSING what it is that you want to do in any given moment, or do you just allow yourself to be aimlessly swept along this journey called life?
